The long-term collaboration between WUR Greenhouse Horticulture and Svensson as a preferred supplier is now officially formalized. Monique van Wordragen (WUR) and Marcel Nouel (Svensson) have officially signed this collaboration agreement.
WUR Greenhouse Horticulture, known for its research facilities and expertise in greenhouse horticulture, greenhouse climate, plant physiology, light-, crop protection and fertilization research, and Svensson, a leading company in the development of innovative screen and climate solutions for greenhouse horticulture, have decided to join forces in a long-term partnership.
Both parties are committed to jointly researching the application and optimization of climate screens in greenhouse horticulture. This partnership will focus on improving the efficiency and effectiveness of climate screens, with the aim of enhancing the overall performance of greenhouse horticulture.
Examples of previous collaborations between WUR and Svensson:
- In the “Winterlichtkas”, a prototype Luxous energy screen from Svensson was installed at an angle instead of flat, to allow more natural light into the greenhouse.
- The Grip on Light project, where more light was allowed for potted plants through the light-diffusing Harmony climate screens.
This collaboration marks an important step in the ongoing efforts of both organizations to provide innovative solutions for the greenhouse horticulture sector.
