In 2024, the climate screen at one of TVA Growers' locations was replaced. Ferry Adegeest, together with his brother Marcel, opted for the installation of a Luxous Light FR , combined with the Energy Monitor. This wasn't the first time TVA had collaborated with Svensson; the relationship dates back to 2001.

Trust for over twenty years
TVA Growers comprises three locations in Lansingerland, South Holland, covering a total of 11 hectares. Two of these locations use Svensson climate screens. The third location is a different type of greenhouse, with a different climate screen and climate computer system, and AC film is used at the start of cultivation.
The collaboration with Svensson began with a new building in 2001. "We chose Svensson purely based on the name," says Ferry. "That screen was there for quite a while and did a great job." The first replacement followed in 2017. Since then, screens have been replaced at several locations.
New installation in 2024
The most recent replacement took place in 2024. The reason: damage to the lower screen caused by fans. Ferry decided to have the damaged screen repaired and simultaneously replaced the upper screen. This became the Luxous Light FR . "Clean, bright, simply fantastic," says Ferry. The wiring harness was also replaced.
The installation was handled by Alweco . Aad Alsemgeest of Alweco: “We've been working with TVA Growers as our regular installers for at least ten years. The collaboration is pleasant and professional. Ferry and Marcel always choose reliability and quality.”

Manage energy smarter
Since its installation, TVA Growers has been using the Svensson Energy Monitor . It's especially valuable during the winter months. Ferry: "The Energy Monitor helps us save energy. It provides insight into where there's still room for smarter screening. That makes all the difference. Sometimes it really comes down to opening or closing fifteen minutes earlier or later. For example, when opening the double screen. You're tempted to open it as soon as it gets light, but then it turns out you can stay closed a little longer. That generates energy without compromising your crop."
He received an explanation of the system from a cultivation advisor and a technical specialist. "Very useful," says Ferry. "You're busy with all sorts of things during the day, so it's great that the Energy Monitor keeps a close eye on the optimization of the shading."
