'Tis the Season to Give Back! Svensson supports North Mecklenburg High School
There's no better time to give back than at the holiday season! For us at Svensson the holidays are about making a difference in the community and this season we were proud to show our support by donating and installing climate screens for local high school greenhouses.
A season for giving
Svensson's US team donated and installed Harmony, Econet, and Solarwoven screens at North Mecklenburg High School this holiday season. "Not only do we have the opportunity to support students and local horticulture programs through our donations but we're able to spend time together as a team volunteering for the greater good" says Mauricio Manotas, president of Svensson's Americas office.
"Svensson's spirit of giving doesn't start with the holiday season, it's a yearly commitment for us."
This year we shared our passion to create a better climate for growth with multiple schools throughout the local Charlotte community, including North Mecklenburg High School, Garinger High School and West Charlotte High School in addition to supporting 20 Real School Garden Schools, providing education and shade for lead garden teachers at these schools.
There's nothing like hands on learning and contributing to programs that grow succesful students. Giving back is not only part of our responsibility as a company but part of our responsibility to the future of the horticulture industry.
