Expanding the possibilities of Mint
Annie Lee Jönsson on colour, balance and a more versatile palette
Mint has been part of the Svensson collection since 2012. Over the years, the textile has been refined through gradual updates, but for the Autumn 2026 launch, designer Annie Lee Jönsson has undertaken its most extensive colour revision to date. The result is a palette that expands the possibilities of Mint while staying true to its original character.
New colours, familiar character
Built on a simple weave construction with one colour in the warp and one in the weft, Mint has always relied on colour to create its expression. The balanced structure allows both yarn colours to be equally present, creating subtle shifts in tone and depth as the textile responds to light, draping and distance.
The new palette consists of fifty colourways, developed through carefully balanced combinations of warm and cool tones, light and dark shades. The ambition has been to create colours that remain relevant over time and across different types of interiors, while offering greater flexibility for a wide range of projects.
For Annie, colour development is closely linked to painting. Each shade begins with hand-painted references, where small adjustments in tone, temperature and lightness help define the overall character of the textile. Several colours recur throughout the palette, making it easier to create combinations and transitions within larger projects.

Designed for a wider range of projects
The result is a palette that feels both familiar and refined. A collection of colours designed to work together, while giving architects and designers greater flexibility when shaping light, atmosphere and spatial expression.
While the colour palette has evolved, the qualities that have made Mint a favourite remain unchanged. Its transparent construction allows generous daylight to pass through while providing subtle screening and a soft spatial definition. Particularly suited to large windows and glazed spaces, the textile continues to offer the lightness and versatility that have defined it for more than a decade.
With its renewed palette, Mint offers expanded possibilities while remaining true to the qualities that have defined the textile since its introduction. A careful refinement that creates new opportunities to work with colour, light and transparency across a wide range of projects.
