This autumn, Mint returns in an updated palette, while Rey introduces a new expression inspired by the movement of a brushstroke. Together, the two textiles explore colour, texture and atmosphere through different approaches. One evolves a familiar favourite, the other introduces a new way of working with pattern and scale.

Developed for contemporary public interiors, both textiles are designed to shape atmosphere and support the experience of space. Through nuanced colour relationships, subtle materiality and thoughtful functionality, they offer new possibilities for architects and designers working with light, openness and visual comfort.

Rey

Rey is a new hanging textile inspired by the expressive movement of a brushstroke. Enlarged and translated into a woven material, the abstract pattern creates soft transitions between colour and texture rather than distinct motifs. The result is a large-scale expression that feels calm, contemporary and easy to integrate into a wide range of interiors.

The pattern works equally well vertically and horizontally, making Rey particularly suitable for large draperies and expansive spaces where it can define atmosphere without dominating the room. The palette moves between quiet neutrals and more pronounced contrasts, drawing on Nordic colour references while maintaining a clear and distinctive identity.

Mint

One of Svensson's most established hanging textiles returns with a renewed colour palette. While the construction remains unchanged, the updated yarn colour scale introduces new depth, harmony and flexibility, opening new possibilities for colour expression and spatial atmosphere in public interiors.

Built from a simple yet carefully balanced weave construction, Mint combines one warp colour and one weft colour to create a living surface that changes with light, draping and viewing distance. The new palette consists of fifty colourways, developed to work both individually and in combination with other textiles in the Svensson collection.

Its transparency allows generous daylight to pass through while providing subtle screening and atmosphere. Equally suited for large, glazed façades and interior zoning, Mint continues to offer the lightness and versatility that have made it a favourite for more than a decade. By balancing daylight, privacy and spatial definition, it helps create environments that feel both functional and welcoming.
