Pepper Culture

Pepper thrives at day/night temperatures of around 21/18°C (81/64°F). The best way to trim your heating costs is to use a transparent energy screen. In colder areas, where winter temperatures tend to drop below 4 ⁰C (39°F), you might consider a double energy screen for even greater savings.

High light levels go hand in hand with high production levels. But don’t overdo it: radiation greater than 600 W/m2 could result in quality problems for your crop. In countries with moderate summers, you might want to use the available energy screen for shading. In warmer climates, we’d recommend screens with 40% to 50% shading and an open structure for ventilation.
