In the beginning of November Svensson participated in the largest ever horticultural mission event in Japan.
The Dutch trade mission in Japan took place on November 9th, 2015. Prime Minister Mark Rutte was accompanied by Minister of Economic Affairs Henk Kamp. Almost thirty companies, including Svensson, participated in what was the largest horticulture mission ever in Japan.
Dutch and Japanese companies established and deepened existing relationships during visits and meetings. The meeting with Prime Minister Abe strengthened ties between the Netherlands and Japan. Japan is the third largest economy in the world and the largest Asian investor in the Netherlands.
Trade between the Netherlands and Japan in 2014 totaled more than 11.5 billion euros. There are great opportunities in the field of agriculture and horticulture for Dutch businesses in Japan.
